About Me

Mark began his investment industry career in 1983 with Dean Witter and joined Stifel in 2019. He most recently worked for UBS Financial Services, where he spent most of his career, and focused on developing retirement planning strategies for affluent families and individuals across multiple generations. As a portfolio manager in Stifel’s Solutions Program, Mark studies market trends and develops strategies that enable him to quickly adapt and implement investment strategies for clients who choose discretionary management advisory services. He holds Series 7, 63, and 65 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance licenses (including annuities).

Mark graduated from University of South Florida in 1982 with a B.A. in Fine Art. He has served his community in many volunteer organizations and boards in Tampa. He was board president at Unity of Tampa Church and at Ybor City Sertoma Club and treasurer of the All Children’s Hospital Guild of Tampa.

Mark is a native Floridian. He was born in Tampa and has lived in Lutz, Florida, with his wife, Susan, since 1996. Mark and Susan are animal lovers who live with four dogs and a green-cheeked conure. They have two adult children, Anthony and Frank, and four beautiful grandchildren. Anthony, his business partner, joined Stifel in 2015, and Frank works at Sierra Construction in Tampa. Mark loves boating and fishing and is an avid Tampa Bay Lightning hockey fan.

The Solutions program requires a minimum investment, which varies by strategy.  Ask your Financial Advisor for a Disclosure Brochure, which further outlines the fees, services, exclusions, and disclosures associated with this program.  Since all investment decisions in a Solutions account are made by the Financial Advisor without having to receive prior client approval, it is important that Solutions clients have detailed knowledge of the Financial Advisor’s individual investment philosophy and decision-making process before entrusting him or her with their portfolio.  You should consider all terms and conditions before deciding whether the Solutions Program and any particular strategy are appropriate for your needs.

About Me

Anthony is passionate about the important work he carries out with clients.  He is committed to employing the principles of excellence and quality on their behalf in every interaction.

Anthony’s family has lived and worked in Tampa, Florida, for more than 100 years.  His great grandfathers were Leo Stalnaker, a Tampa municipal judge and state representative, and Giuseppe Scaglione, owner of Scaglione and Sons Funeral Home in Ybor City.  Anthony is a second-generation financial advisor and grew up in the business, investing from a very young age and learning sound financial strategies. From this unique and rare perspective, he understands complex family financial dynamics and the importance of long-term planning.

Anthony’s goal is to be present every step of the way for his clients as they make critical financial decisions throughout their lives.  In 2010, he developed the 12 Dimensions of Risk Management, a philosophy he uses in client consultations and planning.  As a portfolio manager in Stifel’s Solutions Program, he manages portfolios on a discretionary basis for clients in this program.  He is a member of the Hillsborough County Bar, Tampa Hispanic Bar, and the Next Gen Collaborative Divorce Group.  He believes that a multi-disciplinary approach that couples his knowledge in investments with the coordination of clients’ tax and estate advisors and healthcare services helps ensure holistic guidance for clients.

Anthony holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses, as well as life, health, and variable insurance license.  He graduated from Florida State University with a Major in Communications Studies.   In addition to his bachelor’s degree, he has earned three certificates in Latin American business and culture from schools in Puebla, Mexico, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.*  Anthony has also completed Collaborative Divorce training at Stetson University College of Law.

Anthony enjoys serving on the board of directors for the Ybor City Rotary Club and his memberships with the Ybor City Museum Society and Tampa Rough Riders.  His wife, Diana, has a Ph.D. in Neuroscience and owns a life science company.  They enjoy biking down Tampa’s Riverwalk and world travel with their sons, Marco Antonio and Leo Francisco.  Anthony’s hobbies include scuba diving, fishing, and running.
